Expert Verdict

The TRN Black Pearl features dual CS43131 DAC chips and integrated 10-band parametric EQ, offering transparent audio performance and versatile 3.5mm/4.4mm connectivity. While the hardware delivers high-fidelity sound, the user experience is hampered by significant software bugs in the companion app and web interface.

Best For

Audiophiles seeking a budget-friendly, high-performance DAC with PEQ capabilities who are comfortable troubleshooting buggy software.
