Privacy Policy

TweakDeals is a read-only price tracking service. Browsing requires no account and no personal information.

We collect the following data:

• Newsletter & price-alert emails (only if you opt in): when you subscribe to the weekly newsletter or create a price alert, we store your email address plus confirmation/unsubscribe tokens. Double opt-in: a confirmation email must be clicked before any marketing mail is sent. Every email carries a one-click unsubscribe link and a List-Unsubscribe header; unsubscribing deletes the token and stops all mail to that address.

• Server logs: Like most websites, our hosting provider (Cloudflare Workers) may log standard request data — your IP address, browser type, and pages requested. These logs are used for security, debugging, and infrastructure monitoring only.

• Analytics: We use Umami (privacy-focused, cookieless). Analytics data is aggregated (pageviews, referrers, top pages) and cannot be used to identify visitors. Affiliate-link clicks also fire an aggregated event. The newsletter cross-promo on alert pages fires a newsletter_upsell_click event (source: alert-confirm or alert-manage) with no personal data.

• Affiliate referrals: When you click an AliExpress link, standard AliExpress affiliate parameters may be appended to the URL. Our server records the click (product, timestamp) for analytics; this does not share your personal data with us.

We use collected data for:

• Sending the newsletter and price alerts you explicitly requested (via Resend; see section 4)

• Maintaining and improving the site (server logs help us diagnose errors and performance issues)

• Understanding which products and pages are most visited (aggregated analytics only)

• Affiliate tracking (standard URL parameters + server-side click counts)

• Security monitoring and fraud prevention

We do not sell, rent, or share any personal data with third parties.

TweakDeals does not use advertising cookies, tracking cookies, or analytics cookies.

We use one functional cookie (or browser localStorage) to remember your sort preferences on the deals page. This is a small, non-personal preference and improves usability. It is not shared with any third party.

You can disable cookies in your browser settings without affecting core functionality.

We use the following third-party services:

• Cloudflare Workers: Our hosting provider. Their privacy policy applies to server infrastructure and any data they process: cloudflare.com/privacy-policy

• Neon PostgreSQL: Our database provider (neon.tech). They process and store price data and subscriber emails under their privacy policy: neon.tech/privacy

• AliExpress: When you click through to AliExpress, their privacy policy and terms apply. We do not control AliExpress's data practices.

• Resend: Our email delivery provider (resend.com). Subscriber and alert email addresses are transmitted to Resend solely to deliver the messages you requested. You can unsubscribe at any time via the one-click link in any email.

No other third-party services are integrated.

Price history data is retained for as long as the product is tracked (currently up to 90 days of daily price points).

Analytics data (aggregated pageview counts) is retained for 12 months.

Server logs are retained for a maximum of 30 days by Cloudflare, then automatically deleted.

Newsletter and alert email addresses are retained until you unsubscribe or delete your alerts, at which point the address is marked unsubscribed and tokens are revoked. Unconfirmed (pending) subscriptions expire automatically after 7 days.

For subscriber and alert email addresses, you may request access, correction, or deletion at any time by emailing hello@tweakdeals.com. Unsubscribing via any email link immediately stops all mail and revokes your tokens.

You retain full control over your own browsing data, cookies, and device-level tracking through your browser settings and privacy tools (VPNs, ad blockers, etc.).

TweakDeals is operated from Oman (GMT+4 timezone). If you are accessing the site from outside Oman, your data may be processed by Cloudflare's global infrastructure, which may include servers in multiple countries.

By using TweakDeals, you consent to data processing as described in this policy.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "last updated" date.

If changes are significant, we will note them clearly on the page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
