The TRN Mermaid utilizes a complex 1DD+1BA+2Planar driver array, featuring a 10mm glass-diaphragm dynamic driver and dual 6mm micro-planar drivers to achieve a wide, detailed soundstage with energetic vocal reproduction. While the acoustic performance is praised for its technical resolution, the product is hampered by a non-modular, heavy ribbon-style cable and loose eartip fitment that detract from the premium experience.
Audiophiles seeking a wide soundstage and energetic vocal performance who are willing to replace the stock cable for better ergonomics.
