Expert Verdict

The Haute42 R16/T16 is an open-source GP2040-CE leverless hitbox controller offering 16-button layouts with swappable switches and broad platform support (PC/PS4/PS5/Steam). It provides a DIY-friendly, customizable alternative to premium options like the Razer Kitsune, though minor build quality issues (edge sharpness, creaking) and uncomfortable secondary buttons are noted trade-offs for the budget tier.

Best For

Competitive fighting game players seeking an affordable, customizable leverless hitbox with open-source firmware should buy this; those prioritizing premium build quality and polished secondary buttons should look elsewhere.
