Buying guide: Gaming Controllers

Expert Verdict

Equipped with Hall Effect joysticks and a 1000Hz polling rate, the EasySMX X05 Pro is a highly responsive and exceptionally quiet option in the budget gaming controller tier. While its silent design and ergonomic 8-way D-pad excel, competitive shooter players may be disappointed by its subpar Bluetooth latency and long hair-trigger travel.

Best For

Ideal for gamers seeking a quiet, drift-free controller for PC or Switch.

Avoid If

But competitive shooter players should avoid it due to slow hair-trigger travel.
