Buying guide: Retro Gaming

Expert Verdict

The ANBERNIC RG35XX PRO delivers reliable retro gaming up to PS1 with an H700 processor and 3.5-inch IPS display, backed by mature Linux firmware and WiFi connectivity. Solid budget handheld for 8-bit through 16-bit emulation, though small analog sticks and PSP performance limitations make it less ideal for extended 3D gaming sessions.

Best For

Retro gaming enthusiasts seeking an affordable handheld for 8-bit through 16-bit emulation should buy this; those who want comfortable analog stick controls for N64/PSP 3D games should look elsewhere.
