The HIFIMAN HE400se utilizes planar magnetic drivers with stealth magnets to deliver high-speed transient response and low distortion, offering a neutral, detailed sound profile that excels in staging. While technically impressive for its category, the 385g weight and rigid headband can impact long-term comfort, and the open-back design leaves the internal diaphragm exposed to environmental debris.
Ideal for audiophiles seeking planar magnetic detail and staging on a budget; avoid if you prioritize lightweight comfort or need a closed-back design.
