The Anbernic RG CubeXX offers a sharp 720x720 1:1 IPS display and Hall effect joysticks in a comfortable ergonomic form factor at a budget price point. The 3800mAh battery and Linux-based dual SD card system provide solid functionality, though the 1GB RAM and lack of Bluetooth audio limit versatility. Best suited for Game Boy, GBC, and SNES emulation with N64/Dreamcast as stretch goals.
Retro gaming enthusiasts who primarily play Game Boy, GBC, SNES, and Genesis titles should buy this for its 1:1 display and Hall effect joysticks, but those wanting reliable PSP, Dreamcast, or N64 emulation should look elsewhere.
