Anbernic RG 40XXV 64 Bit Linux Retro Handheld Game Console 4.0'' IPS Screen Supports 5G WiFi Bluetooth HD-Support Output RG40XXV
Retro Gaming
“The Anbernic RG40XXV delivers one of Anbernic's best D-Pads paired with a 4-inch 640x480 IPS display in a vertical form factor. The Allwinner H700 chip handles retro classics through PS1/N64 well, but the awkward analog stick and overly sensitive shoulder buttons are notable tradeoffs. Solid budget option for vertical handheld enthusiasts, though the $66 price is competitive rather than exceptional.”

D-Pad considered the best Anbernic has produced, smooth and responsive with no shell rubbing
retrohandhelds.ggThis is the best D-Pad Anbernic has made yet. It is just that good.

Analog stick feels awkward and imprecise, with strange hand positioning and possible shell rubbing
retrohandhelds.ggI really hate this thing... the movements did not feel that precise
- —
Shoulder buttons require almost no pressure, causing accidental presses during normal holding
retrohandhelds.ggIt takes no pressure at all to press them. I felt like I was accidentally pressing them a ton
- —
N64 and PSP performance is inconsistent, requiring remapping work for acceptable gameplay
retrohandhelds.ggAnything under? It plays it fantastically... especially with any remapping you may have to do for N64
