Buying guide: Retro Gaming

Expert Verdict

The Trimui Smart Pro delivers solid retro gaming with its Allwinner A133 Plus processor and 4.96-inch 720p IPS display, excelling at PS1/SNES/GBA emulation while N64 and Dreamcast require compromise. Active cooling and 5000mAh battery provide reliable extended sessions, but the absence of HDMI output and quirky 5V/2A charging requirement limit versatility. Good value in the sub-$120 budget tier for retro enthusiasts, though PSP performance trails competitors.

Best For

Retro gaming enthusiasts seeking a portable, budget-friendly handheld for 2D classics (GBA, PS1, SNES) should buy; those wanting HDMI output, Saturn/PSP performance, or modern fast-charging convenience should look elsewhere.
