The Anbernic RG35XXSP excels at retro gaming up to N64/Dreamcast with excellent battery life and comfortable GBA SP-inspired form factor, but its lack of analog sticks limits advanced gaming and the larger size creates pocket discomfort. Good budget handheld for D-pad-centric retro games, though OTG controller support is unreliable and the interface lacks polish compared to official consoles.
Retro gaming enthusiasts who primarily play D-pad-centric games (GBA, SNES, PSP) and prioritize nostalgic flip-form factor and battery life over analog stick compatibility and pocket portability.
